Do you ever dream of witnessing what the world of research looks like in real life? CNRS is offering groups of randomly selected visitors the chance to take part in unique experiments in its laboratories, observatories, scientific platforms and research sites in France, in a national scheme called "Les visites insolites du CNRS", as part of the Fête de la science organised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.
From 6 to 16 October 2023, during the Science Festival, the Visites Insolites will once again enable more than 1,000 people to plunge into the heart of research and discover exceptional installations or experiments, face to face with scientists.
For this fourth edition, SYRTE is offering two special tours flagged on quantum technologies, applied to measurement for Earth sciences (geophysics) and to time making.
You can find descriptions of these tours on the Visites insolites du CNRS website:
Quantum technologies to probe the Earth and its movements
Quantum technologies and the making of time
