The Journées 2010 will be organized by
Paris Observatory. They have received the label "Rencontres de l'Observatoire".
The scientific sessions will be held at Ecole Normale Supérieure (
ENS Ulm), in the vicinity of Paris Observatory (Quartier Latin), and meeting rooms of Paris Observatory.
Sessions 1 to 5 of the
scientific programme will be held in the amphitheatre Dussane at Ecole Normale Supérieure, while the poster session, welcome drink, conference dinner and WG meetings will be held in meeting rooms at Paris Observatory.

Registration fee
The registration fee are of 100 Euros (or 120 Euros for late registration) including participation in the Journées, the Colloquium material with receiving a copy of the Proceedings, the coffee breaks, and the conference dinner at Paris Observatory on Tuesday 21 September evening.

A receipt of registration fee will be provided to each registered participant during the Journées.
Cancellation: cancellation with reimbursement will only be possible until 10 September 2010 (10 days before the start of the meeting).
In such a case, registration fees will be reimbursed with the exception of a small management fee. If the cancellation happens during
the last 10 days before the meeting, no reimbursement will be possible.
Reception desk
The reception and registration desk will be open at Paris Observatory (entrance: 77 Avenue Denfert-Rochereau) on Sunday 19 September, 17:00-18:30
and on Monday 20 September at Ecole Normale Supérieure (entrance: 45 rue d'Ulm) from 8.30 am, where participants
can register and remove the Colloquium material.
Instructions for speakers & Poster presenters (see the

- Duration of invited talks: 20 min including questions
- Duration of oral presentations: 12 min including questions
- The posters will be posted in Salle Cassini of Paris Observatory during the whole duration of the Journées
- The dimensions of the posters can be up to the A0 format (or max: 90 cm x 120 cm), preferably in portrait format
Lunch
The Journées 2010 participants can take lunch at the canteen of Ecole Normale Supérieure (on Monday and Tuesday) and Observatoire de Paris (on Wednesday).
The price of the lunch is about 10 Euros.
Conference dinner
A conference dinner will take place on Tuesday evening (19:30-22:00) in Salle Cassini at Observatoire de Paris. All the participants are invited to attend this dinner whose fare is included in the registration fee.
Extra ticket can be bought for accompanying person at a price of 15 Euros. Special dietary requirements should be specified in advance.
Before the dinner, participants have the possibility (18:30-19:30) to visit a small exhibition of a set of historical documents (relevant to the Journées 2010 topics) from the archives of Paris Observatory library.
The best poster award will be given during the conference dinner for the best poster displayed at the Journées 2010.
Transports
Due to engineering work on the RER rail lines for the weekends, special instructions
to travellers using Paris Charles de Gaulle airport are given
here.
For that reason using buses or coaches from CDG airport to Paris should be preferred on the week-ends: Roissy Bus or Air France cars, lines 2 and 4 (see more details
here).
European Heritage days
To promote the historical and cultural heritage, there is on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 September 2010, the possibility, in the framework of the
European Heritage days
Journées du Patrimoine 2010
(organized each year in France since 1984, and in Europe since 1991), of visiting, free of charge (but generally with queues), many state Buildings.
In this cultural framework, Paris Observatory will be opened on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 September from 13 h to 18 h (entrance at 61 avenue de l'Observatoire, 75014 Paris), with visits and lectures (in French).

The participants are requested to make their own reservation themselves as soon as possible.
It is highly recommended making hotel reservation before the 2010 summer period.
